DM(Diabetes Mellitus)is the well-known disease in the world. It cause high blood level and bring about many effects such as hyper and hypoglycemic shock, chronic wound, eye problems and so on.There are major three types.

Diabetes type 1 or another name called Juvenile Diabetes Mellitus(IDDM).In this type, the body mostly stops producing insulin or produces so little insulin that the body cannot regulate its blood sugar level. In this type is the most comon problem in childhood.Type 2 diabetes is the result from the body cannot process the insulin completely even though the pancreas secretes insulin at the proper level. This type usually be found in adulthood or aging people. The last one is type 3 diabetes, the high blood level problems usually finding in pregnant people.

DM is the chronic problem usually irritated the patient life because they have to control their blood level by injection, taking medicine and diet regulating. The new arrival discovery, Inhaled insulin is the last alternation for people suffered from Diabetes. Finally,I think this new invention will be absolutely useful for diabetes patients.

something about the brain’s appetite center

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006 | Author: susheewa

“Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center, says people stop eating when the brain’s appetite center registers “full.” But eating lots of flavors promotes overeating because different sensors must register full for appetite to subside, Katz says.” food This research is very interesting because it can be supported why people can eat more different kind of food. So, it can lead to be the obese problems later.Katz’s theory seem like a flavor- themed food working like a warning sensor which is sent to our brain that I’m full you should stop eating right now.

The first IELTS experience test

Saturday, January 14th, 2006 | Author: susheewa

Today I have to test the IELTS which is used for international applying for oversea student. It will be not reported in my blog today if I had an experience before,so I had much more nervous before going to a jail.( just kidding)

The disheveled morning started from 5.00 a.m. with me crazy woman.I think I am enough ready for this test ,both reading and praying. That means hope today was my date.So I don’t want to take any notebook with me.I was very confident in the morning while I hope I will be lucky too.In contrast I think I am going to the prison because my heart rate had started to be unstable.(sound like someone is playing a drum) I went to Monteian Hotel early before the test for 1.30 hour. After I presented my ID card,I wanted to release my by walking around again and agian till the appointment time was began.Oh my God!!! Could you please be with me!!!! Give my power please!!! Oh Give me a high sciore too!!!!( I think my Load will be absolutely busy today because everybody maybe beg such a lot things today)

Before we started to test, there was annoucement from an officer who is native speaker from IDP institute.Oh! His voice very clear.( I tried to suppot my excitement but it did not work at all) The hell or heaven will become in the few miniutes. In that time I feel very hateful myself because I could not stop excitement until section one in the listening test was gone. Oh my goodness!!! I lost the score from section one eventhough it is the most easy.Eventhough it was talked about the number.Unbelivable I could not catch even the zip code. After that I tried to recall my consciousness back. The listening test in IELTS are quite different from TOEFL test. There are 40 question in 30 minutes for listening and 10 minutes for moving the answer from the booklet to an answer sheet. In addition, there are many different type of question such as filled in the blank, matching, multiple choice and so on.It gonna be all right if I was not nervous. This is my weekness that it is also stick in my mind.I dislike to do anything under the limited time.Oh!!!! I want to kick my ass if I could.

The graph below shows the different modes of transport used to travel to and from work in one European city in 1960, 1980 and 2000.

The bar chart illutrates the different vehicles of transport used to travel to and from work in one European city in three time perion,1960,1980 and 2000.The figures are given in the percentage of total travellors. As can be seen in the chart ,Transported by cars had been a dramatic usage from 1960 to 2000.On the other hand, the percentage of using transportation by foot dropped dramatically from 35 to 10 from 2000 to 1960.

It can be clearly seen in the first period in 1960s,the percentage of using foot and bite dropped dramatically from 1960 to 2000.In 1960s the percentage of travellors started at 27 and then declined to 23 roughly in 1980s.Finally,it went down by 16 approximately in 2000 as well as the percentage of using foot because it dramatically declined from 35 to 10 by 40 years.

In contrast, the percentage of using car continuously increased from 17 in 1760 to 25 in 1980 and then went to the top at 37 in 2000.The exception to using bus was un stable because it went up by 7 from 1960 to 1980 and then dropped from 27 to 18 by 20 years later.

All in all,it is clear that people travel by car incrasingly as can be seen from the percentage of tatal travellors from 1960 to 2000.

Describe Bar Chart– Task 1

Thursday, January 12th, 2006 | Author: susheewa

Example

The bar chart shows the number of men and women in continuous education in Britain in three periods. The data can be separate into two groups, full-time and part-time. Figures are given in thousands of people in further education. It can be clearly seen in the chart that the proportion of continuous education in part-time had much higher than the proportion of continuous education in full-time.

As can be seen in the chart, the proportion of full-time education had steadily increased in all periods both men and women, and the proportion of further education in female had higher than male. The exception to this was the proportion of male in 1970/1 because the proportion of further education in female were about 70 thousands, but the proportion of further education in male were 100 thousands approximately. Moreover, the proportion of full-time education in female increased dramatically from 75 thousands in 1970/1 to 200 thousands in 1990/1,and the proportion of full-time education in male rose from 100 thousands in 1970/1 to 200 thousands in 1990/1.

In contrast, the proportion of part-time education in men had fluctuated, but the proportion of part-time education in female had dramatically increased in all periods. As can be seen in chart, the proportion of further education drop steadily from 1000 thousands in 1970/1 to 800 thousands approximately in 1980/1,then rose slightly from 800 thousands in 1980/1 to about 850 thousands in 1990/1. In addition, the proportion of part-time education in male had much higher than the proportion of part-time education in female. The exception to this was in 1990/1 because the proportion of part-time education in female were 1300 thousands approximately, but the proportion of part-time education in men were 1000 thousands.
