Saturday, December 30th, 2006 | Author: susheewa

Sadum This is the news that I dislike to hear.Even though Sadum Hussen made lots of troubles ,I feel very sad when I heard that he will be exacuted before 6 am. in Bagdad. Oh my goodness! Is this right for him?

“He is very very broken” is the last word that he say before hanging. It is really hurt for his family. However, this is his life. That’s true.

According to BBC news,”Final preparations are being made in Baghdad for the execution of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, which reports say could be imminent. “

According to CNN,”BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — Saddam Hussein will be hanged before dawn on Saturday in Iraq, before 6 a.m. (10 p.m. Friday ET), according to Appeals Judge Munir Haddad.”

Boxing Day

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006 | Author: susheewa

After Christmas day,we call boxing day.I don’t know exactly why it is called boxing day. Maybe because every shops will have a knock out sell.–I guess–

Today,we waked up early in the mornong in order to go to shopping, and this is my outcome from this day.

According to below website,Boxing Day is ” The day after Christmas, the Feast of St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr, is better known as Boxing Day. The term may come from the opening of church poor boxes that day; maybe from the earthenware boxes with which boy apprentices collected money at the doors of their masters’ clients.

Nowadays, we often see, in certain families, gifts (boxes) given to those who provide services throughout the year.

“Boxing Day” is listed in the Canada Labour Code as a holiday.”

Christmas Symbol

Christmas Tree

CHRISTMAS TREES According to the refference website,”In 16th-century Germany fir trees were decorated, both indoors and out, with apples, roses, gilded candies, and colored paper. In the Middle Ages, a popular religous play depicted the story of Adam and Eve’s expulsion from the Garden of Eden. A fir tree hung with apples was used to symbolize the Garden of Eden — the Paradise Tree. The play ended with the prophecy of a saviour coming, and so was often performed during the Advent season.

It is held that Protestant reformer Martin Luther first adorned trees with light. While coming home one December evening, the beauty of the stars shining through the branches of a fir inspired him to recreate the effect by placing candles on the branches of a small fir tree inside his home. The Christmas Tree was brought to England by Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert from his native Germany. The famous Illustrated News etching in 1848, featuring the Royal Family of Victoria, Albert and their children gathered around a Christmas tree in Windsor Castle, popularized the tree throughout Victorian England. Brought to America by the Pennsylvania Germans, the Christmas tree became by the late 19th century. “

Christmas Song

Sunday, December 24th, 2006 | Author: susheewa

santa Silent Night

Silent night Holy night All is calm all is bright ‘Round yon virgin Mother and Child Holy infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night, Shepherds quake at the sight. Glories stream from heaven afar, Heav’nly hosts sing Alleluia; Christ the Savior is born; Christ the Savior is born.

Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love’s pure light. Radiant beams from Thy holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth; Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

Joy to the world

Joy to the world, the Lord is come Let earth receive her King Let every heart prepare Him room And heaven and nature sing And heaven and nature sing And heaven, and nature sing

Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns Let men their songs employ While fields and floods Rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy Repeat, repeat the sounding joy

No more let sins and sorrows grow Nor thorns infest the ground He comes to make His blessing flow Far as the curse is found Far as the curse is found Far as, far as the curse is found

He rules the world with truth and grace And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness And wonders of His love And wonders of His love And wonders, of His love

When a Child born

A ray of hope flickers in the sky A tiny star lights up way up high All across the land dawns a brand new morn This comes to pass when a child is born

A silent wish sails the seven seas The winds of change whisper in the trees And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn This comes to pass, when a child is born

A rosy hue settles all around You got the feel, you’re on solid ground For a spell or two no one seems forlorn This comes to pass, when a child is born

[Spoken:]

And all of this happens, because the world is waiting. Waiting for one child; Black-white-yellow, no one knows… But a child that will grow up and turn tears to laughter, Hate to love, war to peace and everyone to everyone’s neighbor, And misery and suffering will be words to be forgotten forever.

It’s all a dream and illusion now, It must come true sometime soon somehow, All across the land dawns a brand new morn,

This comes to pass when a child is born.

SantA cLAUSE IS COMING TO TOWN

You’d better watch out! You’d better not cry! You’d better not pout! I’m telling you why, Santa Claus is comin’ to town. He’s making a list and checking it twice. He’s going to find out who’s naughty and nice. Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.

Refrain

He sees when you are sleeping. He knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good. So be good for goodness sake!

Refrain

With little tin horns and little toy drums, rootie-toot-toots and rum-a-tum tums. Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.

Refrain

Curly head dolls that toddle and coo, elephant folks and kiddie cars too. Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.

Refrain

The kids and girls in boyland will have a jubilee. They’re going to build a toyland town, all around the Christmas tree.

Refrain
